Minos Argyrakis (1919 – 1998) was a Greek famous painter, sketcher and scenic designer.
About the book: Argyrakis had a particular visual and literary way of expression, influenced by surrealism, political satire and social criticism. This illustrated work combines text and drawing to create an allegorical narrative. The title suggests a poetic, dreamy and critical look at society, politics and the human condition. “Black and white” symbolizes the play of light and shadow, a metaphor for the contrasts and conflicts of the era. The book remains a special example of his creative path, combining literature, poetry and visual art.
