About the Hellenic Actors’ Union
Founded on April 19, 1917, the Hellenic Actors’ Union (H.A.U.) is the main trade union for actors in Greece, representing professionals working in theatre, cinema, television, advertising, and all audiovisual sectors. The union is a member of the International Federation of Actors (FIA) and reports over 3,000 active members. As of 2024, the Chairman of the Board is actor Nikos Karagiorgis.
