About the Manuscript

Created during Drosou’s stay in Agios Apostolos in 1988, this intimate manuscript blends memory, reflection, and visual storytelling. The handwritten text flows alongside original drawings, transforming the book into a personal narrative object rather than a conventional publication.

Such complete, unpublished artist manuscripts rarely appear on the market, especially when preserved intact and fully illustrated by the artist herself.

 

About the Artist – Tzeni Drosou

Tzeni Drosou studied painting under Yiannis Tsarouchis (1954–1959) and acting at the Theatre Workshop of Vassilis Rotas. Alongside her artistic practice, she worked for two decades as a photographer-cinematographer at the People’s Hospital, producing educational medical films.

Her work was exhibited widely in Greece and internationally, including the National Gallery of Greece, Zygos Gallery, Nees Morfes Gallery, Astrolavos Art Gallery, and exhibitions in Moscow. She also illustrated books by Yiannis Ritsos, Gianni Rodari, and classic Greek educational publications.
