Original vintage Polish poster created for the legendary 24th International Jazz Festival “Jazz Jamboree ’81”, held in Warsaw from 21–25 October 1981.
Designed by celebrated Polish surrealist artist Rafał Olbiński, this iconic composition features a trumpet transformed into an umbrella against a dynamic abstract background — a visually poetic example of the renowned Polish School of Posters.
During the Cold War era, Jazz Jamboree became one of Europe’s most influential jazz festivals, attracting internationally acclaimed musicians and audiences from across the world. Posters produced for the festival are now highly sought after by collectors of vintage music memorabilia, graphic design, and Eastern European art.
This is an authentic original offset lithograph printed in Poland in 1981, not a later reproduction.
