Published as part of the highly collectible Furthermore Press series, these booklets were produced in very small numbers for friends and supporters and distributed through Falkynor Books in Davie, Florida. Printed on multi-colored paper and staple-bound, they represent the intimate and independent spirit of small-press poetry publishing during the 1980s.
Robert Lax (1915–2000) was an American poet associated with Thomas Merton and Ad Reinhardt. Later in life he settled on the Greek island of Patmos, where he lived a quiet and contemplative life while producing some of the most distinctive minimalist poetry of the twentieth century.
