The Art Gallery Angathi started its activities in 1976, on the ground floor of a neoclassical building in America Square in Athens, Greece. The main goal was and is to create a space with the possibility of presenting both established and new artists. Along with the existence of a small, but properly organized bookstore, it became a lively place, with new proposals and ideas around art.

Born in Athens in 1966, Giorgos Hadoulis is one of the most popular painters of his generation. He studied painting at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris where he lived for almost ten years and has since then systematically exhibited his work in Greece and abroad. In extension of his painting quest he also has to present a particularly remarkable work in drawing, lithography and ceramics. Using bright colors and clean design, Giorgos Hadoulis’ work glorifies what it means to be alive. His works are in museums, such as the National Gallery and the Vassilis and Elizas Goulandris Foundation, as well as in important public and private collections.
