About the author:
Angelos Tanagras (real name: Angelos Evangelidis, 1877 – 1971) was a Greek naval officer, psychophysiologist, and pioneer in parapsychology. Founder of Greece’s first psychic research society in 1923, he is often referred to as the father of Greek parapsychology. Alongside his scientific work, he published literary and philosophical texts exploring Greek landscapes, culture, and thought.
Historical note:
The Georgios Averof was a modified Pisa-class armored cruiser built in Italy for the Royal Hellenic Navy in the early 20th century. Serving as the flagship during much of the first half of the century, she played a central role in Greece’s naval history. Having an Averof library ex libris in this book adds significant historical and collectible value.
