Theodoros Zaimis (1847 – 1922) was a Greek physician and politician. He was born in Kerpini Kalavryton and came from a lesser-known branch of the Zaimi family. He studied medicine in Austria and practiced medicine in Patras for 25 years, being director of the surgical department. He performed the first gastric ulcer surgery and the first laparotomy in Greece. In 1902 he was appointed professor of the surgical clinic of the University of Athens, of which he was also rector between 1912 and 1913.
