Valenty Zietara (1883 – 1935) was a German-Polish graphic artist who worked in Munich. Together with Ludwig Hohlwein, Valentin Zietara was one of the most influential advertising graphic artists in southern Germany at the beginning of the twentieth century. His posters for the Pschorr brewery, for the Café Königsbau in Augsburg, for the Adler cigarette factory, for Nelson bicycles, Lodenfrey, Feurich Keks, Schwaben Bräu Bock, Honig Gautsch Munich, and political posters for the German People’s Party became famous. Zietara designed the cover of the monthly magazine for the promotion of artistic advertising Gebrauchsgraphik, which is dedicated to the city of Munich and its artists (issue 1, year III). Ziatara’s design for the competition cover for the issue “Das Plakat”, January 1921, issue 1, year 12, won an award.
