Designed with a string reinforcement through three holes,

with a bow at the center, string in the colors of the flag of Bulgaria.

The first 30 plate pages are in full color, 18 pages in monotone.

The color plates show 39 works: 21 which are single plate per page,

and 9 which are two per page; and 18 monotonous pages showing 25 illustrations.

Paperwraps, 14″ tall, 9.6 wide; [vi] pp, and 48 plate pages, printed on one side only.

Ivan Mrkvička (born Jan Václav Mrkvička, Bulgarian: Иван Мърквичка; 1856 – 1938) was an Austrian Empire-born painter and an active contributor to the artistic life of newly independent Bulgaria in the late 19th and early 20th century. He is regarded as one of the founders of the modern Bulgarian fine art tradition.
