The Stato Maggiore R. Esercito – Ufficio Propaganda R.E. was the Propaganda Office of the Royal Italian Army (Regio Esercito) during the era of the Kingdom of Italy, particularly active during the First World War and the interwar period. This office played a key role in disseminating information, bolstering morale, and managing public perception of military activities. The Propaganda Office’s activities intensified during World War II, as Italy sought to promote its role as a major Axis power alongside Germany and Japan. It coordinated with the Ministry of Popular Culture (Ministero della Cultura Popolare, or Minculpop), which oversaw all state propaganda under Fascism.
