Giorgos Varlamos (1922 – 2013) was a Greek painter and engraver. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts with Yannis Kefallinos as a teacher, and later, in the 1950s, with a scholarship at the School of Fine Arts in Paris, and at Estienne Technical College. He specialized in book technique and stamp design. He studied and dealt with all kinds of engraving. In addition to engraving, however, he also illustrated more than 200 books, as well as various social posters. He participated in international exhibitions, having been awarded in many of them, while in 1995 he was honored with a prize from the Academy of Athens.
