Giorgos Moleskis was born in 1946 in the village of Lysi. He studied at the English College of Nicosia and at the Lomonosov University of Moscow, from which he obtained an M.A. in Russian literature and a Ph.D. in philology. He worked in the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus, where he held the position of Senior Cultural Officer. From 2007, when he retired, until 2013, he was the Executive Director/Director of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation. He also served as president of various cultural associations and committees (Nicosia Cultural Center, Vladimir Kafkarides Cultural Center, State Literature Awards Committee, National Committee for the European Literature Prize). From 2013 to 2017 he was the president of the Cyprus Writers’ Union. He has been honored with the State Commendation and the State Poetry Prize in Cyprus, as well as the Pushkin Medal of the Union of Russian Writers. He is also an honorary member of the State Academy of Slavic Culture of the Russian Federation. From 1967 to the present day he has published twelve poetry collections, two collected volumes of poems, a collection of short stories and five books of poetry translations. Nine of his poetry collections were translated and published in separate books in France, Italy, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and Albania.
Andreas Larkos was born in occupied Lysi in 1949. He studied film directing and cinematography in Athens with renowned teachers such as Mikis Theodorakis, Pantelis Voulgaris, Giorgos Skalenakis, Giorgos Kavagias and many others. He has been involved in photography since 1969, studying with a great teacher, Michalis Geadis, and in television since 1991. He has directed many video films for the domestic market and two series for Logos television. Among other things, he is involved in the production of news for television stations. He has taken part in many group photography exhibitions in Cyprus and Greece.
