George or Giorgos Seferis (Greek, Γιώργος Σεφέρης, the pen name of Georgios Seferiadis, 1900 –  1971), was a Greek poet, writer and diplomat. He was a Nobel laureate and one of the most important Greek poets of the 20th century.

Edmund Leroy “Mike” Keeley (1928 – 2022) was an American novelist, translator, and essayist, a poet, and Charles Barnwell Straut Professor of English at Princeton University. He was a noted expert on the Greek poets C.P. Cavafy, George Seferis, Odysseus Elytis, Yannis Ritsos and on Post-WWII- Greek history.
