Andreas Kambelas was born in Athens, 1964. He took painting classes at the workshop of Panos Sarafianos (1964-1966), and then at the Athens School of Fine Arts with Nikos Nikolaou (1966-1968). He studied ancient Greek art and attended liberal studies abroad. His work is in the field of expressionism, with compositions that have mainly historical, erotic and mythological content, with a dynamic handling of colors. He has also been involved in the decoration of interior and exterior spaces, the editing of publications, book illustrations, graphic arts, carpet design, and photography.
