Rare antique Greek children’s book titled Παιδικά Διηγήματα (“Children’s Short Stories”) by Aristotelis P. Kourtidis, published in Athens in 1902 and illustrated by the important Greek artist Thalia Flora-Karavia.

This charming early 20th-century edition combines literary and artistic importance. The illustrations were created by Thalia Flora-Karavia (1871–1960), one of the notable female artists of modern Greece and a member of the Munich School, later celebrated for her sketches and depictions from the Balkan Wars and everyday Greek life.

Printed in Athens by I. D. Kollaros, the work is an excellent example of early modern Greek educational and children’s literature. Illustrated books associated with Flora-Karavia are increasingly sought after by collectors of Greek art, rare books, and historical publishing.
