This catalogue was conceived to accompany the exhibition On Kawara: I GOT UP, held from 10 June – 10 July 2018.

Exploring the conceptual series of postcards, collectively titled ‘I GOT UP’, the publication illustrates Kawara’s fascination with the ritualistic documentation of everyday activities. The publication includes intimate interviews with Ellie Siegel and Angela Westwater, an art teacher and Kawara’s gallerist respectively, who were the recipients of many of the artist’s postcards.
