Romantso was a Greek weekly magazine of various topics, one of the best known and most popular publications ever published in Greece. Its founders were Nikos Theofanidis and Spyros Lampadaridis. It was published for the first time on November 17, 1934 and completed its cycle in 1990 exceeding 2,500 issues, while in the period of its reading heyday, after 1956, when its price was halved (from 6, to 3 drachmas) it sold more from 300,000 copies. In addition to Greece, the magazine gradually expanded its circulation abroad, targeting readers of the Greek diaspora. Initially its issues were distributed by bookstores and other places in Great Britain (London) and South Africa (Johannesburg), then in France (Paris) and Germany (Munich) and continuously in Sweden, Canada, USA, Switzerland, Belgium and Denmark.
