Description
An exceptionally rare first issue of the Greek underground fanzine Το Κτήνος (The Beast), published in Athens, May 1985.
Printed in only 100 copies, this debut issue launched one of the most radical DIY publications of the mid-1980s Athenian underground. Subtitled as being “against political and social morality,” The Beast embodied the raw energy of post-punk aesthetics, experimental music culture, and anti-establishment discourse.
