About the Artist:
Federico García Lorca was a Spanish poet, playwright, and theater director, internationally recognized as one of the most important voices of the 20th century. A key member of the Generation of ’27, he integrated symbolism, surrealism, and Andalusian folklore into his work. His acclaimed plays include Blood Wedding (1932), Yerma (1934), and The House of Bernarda Alba (1936). Lorca was tragically assassinated at the start of the Spanish Civil War in 1936, making his art and legacy especially poignant.
