Yiorgos Koulouris was born in Corfu in 1945. He studied painting and engraving in Paris (1978-1981). Main subjects of his painting are female nudes in interiors, landscapes and still lifes. With visual reality as a starting point, he is interested in his works to render the texture of objects through the light that reflects on them and with rough expressionistic lines. He has presented his work at individual exhibitions (Reading Society of Corfu, 1983, 1985 “Epochi”, 1985 French Institute, Corfu, 1985 Hotel “Corfu Palace”, Corfu, 1986, 1987 “Zygos”, Corfu, 1992, 1996 Municipal Theater of Corfu, 1996) and group exhibitions (“Zygos” 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995 1996, Reading Society of Corfu etc.). He died in 2016.
