The Odeon of Herodes Atticus (also called Herodeion) is a stone Roman theater structure located on the southwest slope of the Acropolis of Athens, Greece. The building was completed in AD 161 and then renovated in 1950. Since then it has been the main venue of the Athens Festival, which runs from May through October each year, featuring a variety of acclaimed Greek as well as International performances.
Michail “Mikis” Theodorakis (1925 – 2021) was a Greek composer and lyricist credited with over 1,000 works.
Patrick Dupond (1959 – 2021) was a French ballet dancer and artistic director.
Yiannis Chryssomallis (Greek: Γιάννης Χρυσομάλλης; born in 1954), known professionally as Yanni, is a Greek composer, keyboardist, pianist, and music producer.
Sir Peter Reginald Frederick Hall CBE (1930 – 2017) was an English theatre, opera and film director.
Alekos Fassianos (Greek: Αλέκος Φασιανός, 1935 – 2022) was a renowned Greek painter. He gained recognition for his distinctive style, which was characterized by immediacy and a deliberate departure from standardized painting techniques.
