Stratis Tsirkas (pen name of Ioannis Hatziandreas) (Cairo 1911 – Athens 1980) was a Greek, writer among the most valuable prose writers of the post-war generation. In 1930 he befriended the writer Constantin Cavafy and wrote books about the great poet. 

Nikos Kasdaglis (1928 –  2009) was a Greek writer and essayist, brother of the book editor Emmanuel H. Kasdaglis. The most famous of his works is “Kekarmeni”, which has also been transferred to the cinema. He was awarded the second State Prize for Literature in 1956 for his novel The Millstone’s Teeth. In 1969 he was awarded by the Ford Foundation for his literary work. He was a co-founder (1981) of the Society of Greek Writers.
