Description
Original 1976 Greek wall calendar featuring woodcut prints by the renowned engraver A. Tassos (Anastasios Alevizos, 1914–1985).
The calendar includes the iconic work “Ένας ήλιος” (A Sun) (1973), along with a series of powerful monthly prints such as Girls with Pigeons, Archangel with the Machine Gun, Slave No. 1 & 3, Cyprus 1974, and They Will Be Waiting for 34 Years. These works reflect Tassos’ distinctive style and his engagement with social and political themes.
Published by EKON “Rigas Feraios”, the youth organization of the Communist Party of Greece (Interior), this piece is a genuine artifact from the post-dictatorship (Metapolitefsi) period in Greece, making it both an artistic and historical collectible.
