About the artwork:
Tassos depicts hardworking farmers reaping ears of corn with sickles, a powerful symbol of labor and solidarity. Known for his politically engaged and socially conscious art, Tassos (1914–1985) was one of Greece’s most important 20th-century engravers. A student of Dimitrios Galanis and Kefallinos, he became a prominent artistic voice of resistance and social commentary, chronicling defining moments of modern Greek history through his woodcuts and lithographs.

His works were exhibited internationally in France, the United States, Italy, the Soviet Union, and Japan, and remain highly sought after by collectors of political and Greek modern art.

A striking and meaningful piece for collectors of Greek art, political memorabilia, and vintage lithography.
