George or Giorgos Seferis (Greek, Γιώργος Σεφέρης]), the pen name of Georgios Seferiadis, (1900 –  1971), was a Greek poet, writer and diplomat. He was a Nobel laureate and one of the most important Greek poets of the 20th century.
