Clairie Tsalouchidi-Hadzimina is a Greek visual artist based in Athens, known for her emotionally evocative portraits of children, animals, and tender adult figures. Her work is characterized by realism and sensitivity, often focusing on the gaze as a key element of emotional expression. She primarily works with pastel and charcoal. She studied Political Science at the University of Athens and later pursued art history studies at Sotheby’s in London. Her artistic education continued in Greece, where she trained under respected Greek painters such as Vassilis Charos, Matō Ioannidou, and Giorgos Rorris. Her artwork has been featured in solo and group exhibitions across Greece, with notable shows such as “Across from the Acropolis” and “The Garden”. A recurring theme in her work is innocence—especially as expressed through the eyes of children and animals—offering viewers a glimpse into unfiltered, heartfelt emotion. In 2023, she presented the piece “Lot’s Wife”, a work exploring the erasure of female identity and memory, as part of the group exhibition “The Butterfly Effect”, held at the historic textile factory “Petalouda – Mouzakis” in Athens.
