Description
This is a rare complete set of 12 vintage sepia postcards issued by the Chemins de fer de l’État Hellénique (C.E.H.) / Σιδηρόδρομοι του Ελληνικού Κράτους (Σ.Ε.Κ.), dating from circa 1928–1935.
Printed by J. Barreau et Cie, Paris, a noted French publisher producing interwar promotional material for Mediterranean rail tourism.
The set includes its original semi-transparent paper sleeve, featuring a printed map of Greece and railway routes, with borders labeled in French (“Yougo-Slavie,” “Bulgarie”).
