About the Author
Dimitris Liatsos (1926-2015) was a writer, journalist, and historian born in Kokkinia to refugee parents from Eastern Thrace. A member of the resistance during the German occupation, he later documented the struggles and history of his community. His work reflects themes of social justice, memory, and the experiences of working-class and refugee populations in Greece.
