Eric Walter White (1905–1985) was a British writer, editor, and arts administrator known for his contributions to music and literature. He was particularly influential in promoting contemporary music and played a key role in arts funding in the UK. White worked extensively with the Arts Council of Great Britain and was instrumental in supporting British composers and performers. He also wrote several books on music, including studies on Stravinsky and Britten. His work helped shape the landscape of British cultural policy in the mid-20th century. White had a special interest in literature, poetry, and the arts. A Tarot Deal includes a sequence of poems based on the symbolism of the Tarot cards.
