This Photo Poster is Nr. 5 of a Series of Porto Cheli views that was produced for the German Market by EOT, the Griechische Zentrale für Fremdenverkehr (in German). It was printed by Aspioti-ELKA, one of the leading printing houses in Greece at the time. The series of posters was part of the advertising campaigns to promote Greek tourist destinations and reflects the typical design and visual aesthetics of the early 1970s. Porto Cheli and Kosta, known for their picturesque coastal landscape, were already a popular holiday destination at that time.
Porto Cheli (or Porto Heli) is a coastal town in the eastern Peloponnese, Greece, located in the Argolis region. It is a popular holiday destination known for its scenic landscapes, beautiful beaches, and upscale atmosphere. It has a natural harbor, making it a favorite spot for yachting and sailing enthusiasts.
Kosta is a small, coastal area in the eastern Peloponnese, near Porto Cheli. It has organized beaches and small bays with turquoise waters. It is an important port and passage for the cosmopolitan Island of Spetses, as small ferry boats and water taxis regularly depart from there to the island.
