About the book: This exceptionally rare booklet is a first edition collection of traditional Thracian folk songs, compiled by an anonymous author identified only by the initials G. M. and dedicated to Mr. Konstantinos Zotiadis.

Written in an era of growing national consciousness, the author passionately argues that Thrace is an inherently Greek land, the homeland of Orpheus, the mythical father of Greek poetry and music. The work seeks to preserve and highlight the rich oral tradition of Thracian folk songs as part of Hellenic heritage.

A remarkable and scarce publication, and the only known copy currently for sale, it holds significant ethnographic and literary value, ideal for collectors of rare Greek books, folklore, or Balkan history.
