Ιlias Tsechos was born in 1952 in Giannakochori, Naoussa . He lived in Athens from 1976 to 2001. He participated in Dora Stratou’s ballets as a dancer for ten years (1976-1986). He collaborates in films by Koundouros, Zeffireli, Angelopoulos, etc. Since 2002 he has been a journalist in local newspapers of the prefectures of Imathia and Pella. His poems and lyrics have been set to music by: Theodore Antoniou, Tasos Gros, Aganta. His poems have been translated into English, German, Lithuanian, Albanian.
