Insomnium is a Finnish melodic death metal band known for blending atmospheric melodies, melancholic themes, and powerful riffs. They formed in 1997 in Joensuu, Finland, and have since become one of the most respected bands in the melodic death metal genre. Their music is heavily influenced by Finnish nature, poetry, and literature, often exploring themes of loss, sorrow, and existential struggles. Insomnium’s music is often described as a blend of melodic death metal with doom and progressive elements. They are influenced by bands like Amorphis, Edge of Sanity, and Opeth, but they have developed a unique sound that incorporates melancholic acoustic passages, atmospheric synths, and deep, introspective lyrics. 

 

Tribulation is a Swedish heavy metal band from Arvika that formed in 2005. It started as old-school death metal but evolved into a dark, gothic, and atmospheric sound. Their music mixes haunting melodies, eerie vibes, and occult themes with a touch of classic heavy metal.
