The Duke of Montpensier was the youngest son of King Louis-Philippe of France.
He was accompanied on his journey by his teacher and secretary A. de Latour,
who wrote the letters that make up the text of the publication.
The last 10 lithographs of the atlas depict Greek landscapes: “Vue du Cap Sunium (Grèce)”,
“Pont sur l’ Eurotas (Province Grecque)”, “Ruines de Sparte (Grèce)”,
“Église bysantine à Mistra (Grèce)” , “Défilés du Taygète (Grèce)”,
“Vue du Monastère du Mont-Ithôme”, “Porte d’ Arcadie à Messène (Grèce)”,
“Vue de Corinthe (Grèce)”, “Vue du village de Cryssa, Au pied du Parnasse”
and “L’ Antre de la Pythie à Delphes (Grèce)”.
