This rare and original 1921 edition of The Red Mayday by poet Giorgos Simiriotis is a significant artifact from early Greek socialist history. The book includes the first official stamp of SEKE, the revolutionary socialist party founded in 1918, which was renamed the Communist Party of Greece in 1924.

Giorgos Simiriotis (1879–1964) was a respected poet and translator, especially known for his acclaimed translations of French poetry. This volume, however, represents one of his own political-literary contributions — a poetic celebration of labor and May Day.
