Ben-Hur is a 1959 American epic film directed by William Wyler, with a screenplay by Carl Thunberg based on the famous novel of the same name by Lew Wallace. This is one of the best religious films with a special pompous character that have been made. The epic drama won 11 Oscars, the most any film has ever won. In 2004 the film was designated by the Library of Congress as “culturally, aesthetically, and historically significant” and selected for inclusion in the United States National Film Registry.
Our Last Spring (Greek: Ερόικα, translit. Eroica) is a 1960 Greek drama film directed by Michael Cacoyannis and based on the 1938 novel “Eroica” by Greek writer Kosmas Politis.
