About the Book:
The Flaw is a detective–psychological novel that achieved international acclaim, translated into 31 languages and recognized for its philosophical depth and stylistic innovation. It won the “12” Award in Greece (1966) and the Grand Prize for Detective Literature in France (1970). In 1975, it was adapted into a French feature film.
Frequently compared to the works of Franz Kafka, Arthur Koestler, and George Orwell, the novel explores themes of authoritarianism, morality, and the vulnerability of human freedom.
About the Author:
Antonis Samarakis (1919–2003) is one of the most celebrated figures in modern Greek literature. Known for his deeply humanistic and socially conscious writing, he stands among the most widely translated Greek authors of the 20th century—second only to Nikos Kazantzakis.
A rare and desirable signed edition — a valuable collector’s piece for lovers of modern Greek literature, philosophical fiction, and 20th-century European novels.
