About the Work:
Kefalas is a historic Cretan village with more than 800 years of history. These volumes were written to preserve its legacy, recording names, events, and stories of its people. Kefalas played a significant role in the Byzantine era, the struggle against Ottoman rule, the Macedonian Struggle, the liberation of Epirus, and the Asia Minor Campaign. Its sons also served under Eleftherios Venizelos in the Cretan gendarmerie during the Balkan Wars.
Both works serve as valuable resources for historians, genealogists, and anyone interested in Cretan and modern Greek history.
