Historical Context:
This rare official royal decree was issued shortly after the ascension of King Paul of Greece, marking one of the first decrees signed by the new monarch following his succession in April 1947.
It was issued during the short-lived Government of Constantine Tsaldaris (August 29 – September 7, 1947), the first government appointed and sworn in by King Paul after the resignation of the preceding cabinet.
