Aristides Patsoglou was born in 1941 in Lesvos. In 1952 he settled with his family in Athens. From 1965 to 1969 he studied sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts in the workshop of Yannis Pappas on a State Scholarship. In 1969 he settled in Paris where he continued his research. He continued his studies at the Ecole Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris with sculpture professors Cesar, Collamarini and Lagrange. In 1984, Bernard Bioulac, President of the General Council of the Dordogne Department, organized a retrospective exhibition of Aristides Patsoglou in the grounds of the Puyguilhem Tower. The Municipality of Perigueux buys a monumental sculpture “La Famille” and places it in front of the Palace of the Prefecture. In 1989 he creates a fresco for the Municipality of Saint-Leu La Foret, for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. He has held over 70 solo exhibitions in various cities in Greece and Cyprus, as well as in France, Belgium, Switzerland, England, Germany, Sweden. He lives and works in Athens.
