The poet and editor of publications Tasos Pappas was born in Elefsina in 1921 and died in Athens in 1999. During the Occupation he took part in the Resistance from the ranks of the EAM. In the Civil War he was persecuted and exiled for his action, and until 1960 he practiced various professions to be able to survive. From 1961 to 1973, he worked as a content editor at the Lambrakis Journalistic Organization, at the newspaper “Ta Nea” and at the magazine “Theatro”, while at the same time doing theatrical productions for the state radio. He appeared in literature in 1937, publishing poems in the newspaper “Nea Korinthos”. His collections followed: “Victory”, 1940, “Lights in the storm”, 1946, “Songs of Pathanares”, 1948, “Mesimvrinos”, 1960, “In the shadow of Capricorn”, 1976.
